Jenny Zackrisson Andersson

Through translations and transformations, my degree project aims to explore what makes something, an object or space, charged. The aspect the project searches for is that which activates a feeling of recognition that will stay in the mind of the beholder. That affects memory or consciousness. The project explores this by investigating the relationship between the abstract and the figurative, as well as the bodily connection to its surroundings. With the starting point in objects from both mundane contexts and works of art, it discusses the presence and charge these pieces express; the body manifested in its absence, the revealing object.
