Julia Lundgren

My degree project is a personal exploration of the links and correlations between creativity and mental illness. It consists of a small collection of fanzines and artworks created through different printing methods. Inspired by the depressed artist stereotype and the mad genius trope, I experiment with different methods to visualise the subject through illustration and text. It’s an investigation into my own experiences and thoughts about the theme, as well as about how my own artistry is affected by my mental health, both in its themes and expression.
