I see all objects as the result of perpetual indirect encounters between creators. Encounters in which we endlessly copy one another.
All conceived invented objects are the result of ideas from the creator’s upbringing and environment and can thus not be seen as independent, free-standing units.
I see objects as parts of, and dependent on, a copying network that extends through time and space.
I see the copy as an eternally ruling enabler and developer of all culture.
The objects in my degree project stem from alternative histories and bizarre futures. They are the result of functional objects that, through multiple conceived steps of misinterpretation and copying, have ended up as ornaments and status objects.
