My degree project is an exploration of jewellery and corpus, based on the relationships we form with objects, and objects form with us. The jewellery and the box are the main characters. The focus is on how the box and the jewellery create value in each other, and how that in turn can choreograph and direct our bodies. My artistic work is based around one of my mother’s jewellery boxes. I have come to know it and have lived with it. From the start, I have followed my emotional relationship with the box.
Storytelling and writing is important in my work. Writing is a way to consciously lose some control. I want to let stories lead me forward.
In my degree project, I hope to create and invite you into a world of fragments, a physical space of emotional values and thoughts.
