Colours get me going. They spark my creativeness. Their combination takes me forward and suddenly I have arrived.

The driving forces in my relationship with the textile material is curiosity and obsession. I can’t help myself. I want to grope, caress and fiddle with it. I finger the ball of yarn, penetrate it. Its surface triggers desire, a desire to create and a desire of a less tangible nature.

Through the choices I make when it comes to colour and material, the relationship I have to the yarn grows deeper.

The choices I make in the beginning show me where I’ve been. While I’m creating they show me where I’m going and when I’m done I know who I am.
