My works are based on three contexts: craft, art and design. These are points of interest in my creative process as I continuously move between them, usually unconsciously. By using them as cornerstones, I can create a variation of the different works for the exhibition. It becomes a sort of experimental workshop to express and test my creative process against a future professional career.
This degree project weaves together my studies and the skills I have acquired, which have enabled me to immerse myself in my selected techniques.
In the beginning of the process, it wasn’t a conscious decision to make my works into a provocation, but I have since realised that this is a way to heighten and give power to the works. I’ve let text and motifs take on internal meanings that I have then developed into more intelligible messages. I want to let the texts in my works say more than a thousand words.
