The common use of blackletter typefaces\u00a0ceased,\u00a0and Roman letterforms became predominant, as in other countries in Europe. In today’s digitised world, typing is considered intuitive and doesn\u2019t require professional educators anymore.<\/p>\n
I Never Learned to Type with Ten Fingers<\/i>\u00a0compiles stories from inside a\u00a0family-run\u00a0school. It\u00a0delves into the\u00a0past century of typography, through personal and corporate documents. Family pictures, letterheads, graphic prints, signs, and newspaper articles\u00a0provide insight\u00a0into a\u00a0particular\u00a0corporate identity.\u00a0<\/span>In dialogue with this visual research, a\u00a0font family was designed dedicated to\u00a0the\u00a0characters of the school. The typefaces are hybrids between the past, present, and future, and they investigate phenomena such as monospace, italic, and ligatures.
