Blending Asplund\u2019s design principles with my own contemporary role models and artistic references has created a new, personal expression. Aesthetic sustainability has been crucial for the project&#8217;s process, in which historical and contemporary art and culture have played major roles in my design decisions. <\/p>\n<p>I wanted to improve the logistics in the library\u2019s flow and examine which situations arise depending on how a space, or in this case a building, is planned. A key problem is that the existing caf\u00e9 has to deal with library-related questions, as the caf\u00e9 is located right next to the entrance and is mistaken for the museum reception. By listening to the building\u2019s natural flow, the layout should therefore be changed and the purpose of the space clarified, something which in this case means that the caf\u00e9 should be relocated.
