My artistic practice (and everyday life) is strongly shaped by my desire to strengthen and protect my memory. Based on my concern over losing my memory to such an extent that I might not be able to live as before. I believe in treating memory through variation, to use memories so they do not fade. Using different methods, I build connections for memories to travel and thereby create several ways to sort through and orientate myself.
My installation at Konstfack’s Degree Exhibition 2022 is a variation of connections from my memory: an arranged external memory, and an archive of connections and relationships. The installation is a room consisting of walls, floors and a ceiling built with wood. Outside and inside are drawings and paintings, as well as smaller sculptures and objects. It is an environment where I have the opportunity to apply and arrange materials based on what I believe to be necessary.
