decreased viscosity
An investigation into raising glass to abnormal temperatures.
By melting coloured glass in a small self-constructed glass furnace to unusual temperatures, I have examined the different possibilities of adding it onto reheated glass objects. The glass objects are blown or sculpted in the hot shop, coldworked and again placed in a kiln to be heated a second time. I have either added or connected the objects with liquid glass, by pouring it from small crucibles.
I let the moment where I pour the glass be the focus and let the material decide what it wants to do.
